TexAnn (Cantrell) Maestas

TexAnn Maestas, age 85, died peacefully at home on December 3, 2021. Beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was born in Fort Worth, TX, graduated from Cuba, NM High School and lived her entire adult life in Albuquerque. TexAnn and her husband Alex were married for 62 years before his passing in 2018. TexAnn was a beautiful, thoughtful, and loving soul who loved to travel with her husband, family, and friends. She was happiest when spending time with her husband Alex and when she was surrounded by her large family enjoying cherished time together. She valued every moment she spent with her family and TexAnn will be dearly missed by her children, Alexander (Rose) Maestas, Anita (John) Cruz, Michele (Pat) Irwin, William (Kali) Maestas and David (Desne) Maestas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexander Jr., Jessica, Ann Marie, Paul, Christy, John (Krystal), Samantha, Niko, Rebekah, Bradley, Meagan (Daniel), Manuel, John and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kyra, Adrian, Jacob, Alicia, Angel, Michael, Carlos, Julie, Jordan, Tyler, Natasha, Rory, Robert, Liam, Landon, Hayden, Axel, Eli, Landon and Gabriela; and great-great grandchildren, Jayden, Dominic, Gabriel, Destiny, Sophia, Isabella, Anastasia, Jaclyn, Addisyn, Rilynn; and many special family members and friends. Her family came first in her every thought and our love for her will never waiver. She was a devout Catholic and cherished our Lord.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday December 14, 2021, from 5:00-7:00p.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 11:00a.m., with Mass being celebrated immediately following, both at Sangre De Cristo Church, 8901 Candelaria NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
