Teresa Esther "Dee Dee" Medina

Teresa "Dee Dee" Medina passed away from breast cancer Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the age of 84. Dee Dee is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Benny Medina, and is survived by her daughter, Pamela Medina-Huntington and husband, Rip; her granddaughters, Monica Salazar, Julie Medina and Meghan Spinks; and great- grandchildren, Eva Crespin and Jude Candelaria.
Dee Dee was born in Clayton, NM on March 9, 1932. She and her husband met in Denver, Colorado. They raised their family in Henderson, NV and after 25 years, relocated to Chama, NM where together they successfully owned and operated Foster's Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon for many years. Dee Dee had a love and passion for all things beautiful, especially flowers. This led to her managing and owning several flower shops in Nevada and New Mexico.
Dee Dee defined the meaning of grace and dignity. Her beautiful heart and generous soul was felt by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Road NE Rio Rancho, NM.
