Telesfor S. Padilla, Jr., 78, passed away on January 3, 2016 in Albuquerque. Telesfor was born in Albuquerque on November 14, 1937. After graduating from Albuquerque High School, he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He returned to Albuquerque and started his career at Electric Supply Company, eventually becoming part-owner. He continued his entrepreneurial spirit and ran several Albuquerque businesses, including Telesfor's Camino Alegre and The Sign Store with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Pohl Padilla. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Sanchez and Theresa Pohl; his sons, Albert and Gary; his daughters, Glenda Hightower and Kim Vaughan and 15 grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, in Albuquerque.
