Tarsila Griego

GRIEGO, TARSILAAge 79 passed away peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, surrounded by her loving family. Tarsila was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers and one sister. Tarsila is survived by her beloved husband of 58 ½ years, Isaac Roy Griego; daughters, Catherine Hernandez and husband, Johnny, Cynthia Griego, Suzanne Slenes and husband, John, Caroline Jehle and husband, Lawrence; grandchildren, Nicole Garcia and husband, Matthew, Stephen, Lauren and Megan Jehle; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashleigh Garcia. She is also survived by her two sisters, Sophie Gurule and Rosie Chavez and one sister-in-law, Nancy Fresquez and many nieces and nephews. Tarsila graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1952, she worked over twenty years with the Social Security Administration and was an active member of her church for her entire life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow the services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
