Tamra Ann Long

Tamra Ann Long, age 13, born January 20th, 2002 passed April 6th, 2015. Heaven's gain was our loss when our angel was called home. Tamra was taken to soon after a life long struggle with Rett Syndrome. Tamra was a very strong and loving girl, always smiling and happy. Tamra's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word, her voice and thoughts could always be heard. Although Tamra's illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She could spend hours listening to music or watching Dora videos. Tamra will be deeply missed. Visitation and Services will be held Sunday, April 12th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas followed by a reception at the American Legion Post 49, 11005 Central Ave NE. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rett Syndrome Foundation in Tamra's name.
