Tac Thi Tran

On Friday December 8, 2017, Tac Thi Tran passed away peacefully in her sleep following a long illness. Our “Ba Ngoai”, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was 86 years old.

She was born November 12, 1931 in An Giang, Long Xuyen, Vietnam. She worked hard to provide for her family of five children, even working for the American government as a driver for the USCC during the Vietnam War. In that job, she had an opportunity to escape the war with safe passage on an American helicopter - but she turned back, refusing to leave her children behind. Twenty years later in 1995, she was able to come to the United States to join her daughter Vicky Truong in Albuquerque (owner of Saigon Restaurant and Saigon Two).

Known as a peaceful and kind person, she will be remembered as the loving, forgiving, encouraging and accepting center of the family. We will love you forever.

Tac Tran is survived by her son, Nghiem; and her daughters, Vicky, Thu Ba, Thu Tu and Kim Lien.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Tac Thi Tran with visitation on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. Services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with interment to follow.
