Sylvia J. Chavez

Sylvia J. Chavez, 74, passed away on April 10, 2015. She was born in 1940 in Albuquerque and was preceded in death by her parents, George Jaramillo and Ross and Lucy Duran. Sylvia is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Jake J. Chavez; daughter, Leonor Anderson (Bret); grandsons, Kyle, Christopher, and Austin Thompson; brother, George Jaramillo (Lucille); and sister, Theresa Dick-Peddie (Scott). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and educator of forty years. She touched many lives and will be missed by many. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia's name to All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
