Susie (Mary) (Watson) Singer

Susie (Mary) Singer, 77, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was born on December 19, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas. She is survived by her son, Andy Singer and his wife, Elizabeth; nephew, Tyler Seals and his wife, Mary; nephew, Ryan Seals and his wife, Jennifer, and her great-nephew and great-nieces, Shea, Abby, Lauren, Skylar, and Chloe Seals; sister, Sharon Watson; cousin, Pam Watson; plus many family and friends across the country.

Susie truly loved Lobo's athletics and had a special fondness for Lady Lobo basketball. She was a season ticket holder, a long-time board member of the Lobo Club, 3 Point Club, and had a special affinity for fundraising for student athlete scholarships.

Susie's life took her far and wide across the country, and she was a friend to many. She settled in Albuquerque in 1970 and made it her home, working for Bruce Dunmore at Premmco for 38 years. In that time, she earned a Master's degree in Library Science, and put her organizational skills to use organizing a huge pool for NCAA basketball every year. Susie enjoyed a quick wit, was a real card shark, especially in cribbage, and always had a story to share. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Margaret Watson; daughter, Shelly Singer; sister, Betty Jo Seals; and niece, Dorie Dieudonne.
