Susan Thompson, age 66, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, went to heaven on April 16, 2015. Susan will be remembered for her love of gardening and flowers, but most importantly for her passionate dedication to her husband, children, grandchild, siblings and parents. She encouraged her children to pursue their dreams and they are succeeding in those pursuits. She attended UNM and spent many years working there most recently at the College of Fine Arts. Susan was a highly skilled, creative woman who brought beauty to every environment. Susan will always be admired for her continuous strength and bravery. She remained hopeful and positive, never complaining, in spite of her many struggles. Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Roger; her son Michael; her daughter, Jennifer Dixon and husband Michael, and her lovely granddaughter, Ella Grace Dixon, the love of her life. She leaves behind her mother, Jacqueline Iversen; her brother, David Iversen and his wife Laurel; sisters; Carol Wild and husband Russ, Nancy Holley and husband Jim; brother-in-law Russ Thompson and wife Brenda; sister-in-law Mary Ann Schaff and husband Dennis. Susan also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Also touching Susan's life were many important co-workers and life-long friends. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Earl Iversen and nephew, Garrett Iversen. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, 5:30 p.m.at FRENCH - Wyoming.
