Age 68, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012. She was born in Jacksonville, FL and was a native of Albany, Georgia, wife of Dan P. O'Bryan. Susan was a graduate of Belhaven College, attended Emory University and University of Georgia Graduate School, where she completed her masters in vocational rehabilitation counseling. Susan worked for the State of Georgia, Crawford and Company, Citigroup and was an original hire with Constitution State Service Co., a Travelers Co., in New Orleans, LA. She built that business over five states and retired in 1995. Upon retirement she studied and gained her LPC designation. She then began working as a mental health therapist in 1996. She moved to New Mexico in 2000 and got her LPCC designation and worked as a children's mental health counselor until diagnosed with ALS in early 2011. She was proud stepmother to Dan P. O'Bryan, Jr. and his wife Tami of Albuquerque and Erin C. Lindley and her husband Greg of Dayton, TN and step grandmother to nine grandchildren. Susan became a Christian at age 17 and attended St. Stephens United Methodist Church, Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband, Dan O'Bryan of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helene Lee, Albany, GA and brother, David Lee, Albany, GA. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE.
