Susan Ann Beck

Susan Ann Beck, age 50, a resident of Albuquerque since 2001, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from complications of surgery. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Stan Beck; sons, Jonathan and Christopher; mother, Patricia Grimsley and Step-father, Hugh; sisters, Debbie Shearin and Cindy Nichols and husband, Brian, all of Albuquerque; brothers, David Owens and wife, Diana of Baldwinsville, NY, Ken Grimsley of Jamesville, NY, Steve Grimsley and wife, Penny of McKinney,TX, Mike Grimsley and wife, Ann of Ballston Spa, NY, Keith Grimsley of Syracuse, NY, Jim Grimsley and wife, Meredith of Bloomsburg, PA, and John Grimsley and wife, Emily of Nashville, TN; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Elaine Beck of Rockville, MD; brother-in-law, David Beck and wife, Carrie of Derwood, MD; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Guadagno and husband, Richard of Annandale,VA, and Eugenia Kramer and husband, Mark of Vienna, VA; lots of nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Richard Owens; brothers-in-law Richard Shearin and Philip Beck; and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Beck and Julie Beck. She was born in 1965 in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School, Class of 1983. Susan attended Northeastern Christian Junior College in Villanova, PA and Harding University in Searcy, AR. She worked as a paralegal for Bregman, Berbert, and Schwartz Law Firm in Bethesda, MD for several years. Susan is a member of Cedar Springs Church in Cedar Crest, NM, was a faithful believer in Christ, and homeschooled her children. She was also very involved in music theater, and several music groups including Sonrise at NCJC, Belles and Beaux and Chorale at Harding University. Susan was a very fun, witty, and loving person who was generous to all whom she met. She had a very gentle and patient spirit and loved to laugh. Susan was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
