Susan Carol Azar, 90, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 peacefully surrounded by her family. A professional dancer, she was known for her suave sense of style and glamourous spirit. A longtime volunteer of many organizations, including both Suicide Hotline and Children's Hospital, her philanthropic efforts left a mark on the community. One of her lifetime passions was duplicate bridge and she achieved the status of Life Master.
A dedicated mother survived by her daughter, Sheryl and her wife, Barbara; as well as son, Jim Azar and his wife, Gail. A faithful grandmother, she is survived by grandchildren, Ashlynn, Zachary and Dustin. Susan was preceded by her loving husband of 59 years, Jim Azar; as well as sons, Richard and Larry Azar. Her unwavering love will be missed by many. As an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers, Susan requested memorial donations to the ASPCA.
