Sue T. Mathes

Sue T. Mathes, 74, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. A graduate of Highland High School's class of 1958, Sue was a gentle, compassionate and loving soul, devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert (Bob) Mathes; her daughters, Kelly Mathes and Amy Sanchez; son-in-law, BJ Nigh; grandchildren, Nicole and Justin Sanchez and Hannah and Rowan Nigh, and her niece, Cindi Barber, of Florida. Sue is preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Mathes; son, David Mathes; son-in-law, John Sanchez, and her sister, Barbara Bennet. Sue was a kind and beautiful person who loved reading, music, sewing and crafts. She was blessed with an incredible sense of elegance, grace and generosity. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, who was very deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, .
