Steven Roy Davis, age 63, died in his home on January 5, 2018 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico after a lengthy illness. Steve was born on October 7, 1954 in Arkansas City, Kansas to, Frankie and Wanda Davis.
Steve is survived by his mother, Wanda; wife, Tina; two sons, Eric and Steve; daughter, Amy; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Andrew, Erica, Zeke, Marisa, Shelbi, Michael and Emily; step children, Ashley, Malakai and Caitlyn; and a very special cousin, Melanie.
He graduated from Farmington High School in 1972. Steve worked in the oil industry in Texas during the late 70’s through the early 90’s. Moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1991 to pursue a career in aviation as an A&P Aircraft mechanic where he was a helicopter component overhaul specialist. He retired to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2013.
Steve was a caring and joyful person that lived a full life, filled with family and friends. He was a big fan of music and a long time Parrothead where he was known to all his friends as Wastnawa.
