Steve Jacobson

Steve Jacobson, 71, died August 27, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie; his children Michele Koenigsberg and husband Pete, Chris Jacobson and wife Casey; grandchildren Owen, Ian, Katie, Logan, and Ben; his sister Carol Collings and husband Randy; brother in law John Lovetinsky and wife Mary and many other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Jeffrey and Mabel and his sister Marcia. He was raised on a farm in Iowa. Steve attended college in Iowa and served in the Army Reserve for six years. He met his wife while they were both working for the Iowa Dept of Transportation. They moved to New Mexico in 1979 to become partners in a local business. They later became the sole owners, and successfully ran the business for over 25 years. Steve loved his family, especially his five grandchildren. He enjoyed horse racing, fishing and hunting. Steve will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
