On August 5, 2017, our brother Steve Driggers took his Harley out for that final ride to be with Jesus. The world lost an amazing man. Steve was a good husband. Everyone knew and admired him for the loving, gracious and generous father and grandfather he was. His beautiful, loving heart extended to all of his family members and friends. His passing has saddened so many and the loss is felt by all.
Steve, born October 6, 1949, is the son of Andrew and Consuelo Driggers. He is predeceased by both of his parents and his sons, Edward James and Adrian Steven. He is survived by his children, Amber Jean and husband Merk and Anthony and wife Amy, many grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his wife, Kim. Steve leaves behind many brothers and sisters.
Steve graduated from Rio Grande High in 1968 and joined the Navy shortly afterward. For six years, he served on the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. He was a machinist, but was known to many as a jack of all trades.
