Steve Bowen

Steve Bowen, 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 3, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lucy; son, David Montoya; sister, Brenda and brother-in-law, Scott Short; step-mother, Mary Bowen; his dog, Sandy; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Bowen and Gloria Jean Davis; and one brother, Kevin Bowen. Steve was born in 1952 in La Porte, IN and graduated from La Porte High School. After moving to Albuquerque where he married Lucy Montoya he worked in construction and also owned and operated his own sanitation company in Oklahoma City for three years. At the time of his death he was working for Rio Grande Jewelers. Steve loved shooting guns and also building model ships. He and Lucy attended Sangre De Christo Catholic Church for many years. Steve loved to joke and talk. He was a loving husband, father and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 9, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria NE on with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
