Stephen Bradley Compton, age 66, passed away on Monday, December 28th, 2015. He was born April 22, 1949 in La Porte, Indiana to the late Herbert and Nedra Compton. Steve is survived by wife Judy Compton; daughter Stacy Bewley; son-in-law Eric; grandsons Tryston and Dawson; son Chris; daughter-in-law Catherine; grandson Zane; sister Rita; brothers Mike, Jeff and Dave and their families.
Steve was the owner of Compton Painting which he took over from his dad in 1984. He always worked hard to provide for his family, but always made sure there was time spent with the people he loved most, his family as well as all of his many friends.
Some of Steve's favorite things were going to the lake with whoever wanted to tag along, hunting with his brother Mike, Chris, Eric, Tryston and Dawson. He also enjoyed a good game of golf as well as a night out with the "Board Members." His favorite place to go was Lake Powell, we had many great memories spent there with this wonderful man.
Some of Steve's favorite times were spent at the baseball or soccer field or hockey games watching Tryston and Dawson. He has taught Tryston, Dawson and Zane how to fish, swim, change tires, drive cars, rake leaves and enjoy the best biscuits and gravy anyone will ever taste.
In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, www.nationalmssociety.org.
