Stanley "Sonny" Eugene Bennett

Stanley "Sonny" Eugene Bennett, age 72 passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2017. He was born in Gallup, NM to Stanley S. and Mary Jo Bennett. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Nancy; his mother Mary Jo; brother Rick (Susan); daughter Alisa (Seth); son Jason (Sicily); beloved dog Willow; numerous family members, and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father Stanley S. Bennett.
Stan worked in various financial institutions throughout his career, including Mountain States Financial, Albuquerque Federal, Bank of America, First Interstate and he retired from the University of New Mexico.
He loved his family, he LOVED retirement and he was good at it. He loved traveling, music, and playing cards, especially poker. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild. He was a quiet man, always quick witted and never met a buffet he didn't like. He is greatly missed.
Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Wyoming with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Stanley's name to Best Friends Animal Society in Utah.
