Stanley Johnson passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the age of 70. Stanley has been a courageous survivor of a traumatic brain injury and has defied the odds for the past five years. After several months of declining health, Stanley passed peacefully with his beloved wife, Resa; their children, Keith and Kevin; and his sister, Sandy by his side.
Stanley was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and an all-around bad dude. He entered this world on Monday, October 22, 1951, in Albuquerque, NM, born to Robert and Shirley Johnson. Being born to the founders of Bobby J's Yamaha, Stanley learned to ride a motorcycle at a very young age. He has been on two wheels ever since. Stanley was a professional motorcycle racer in the 70's, and then followed in his father's footsteps by stepping into the role as business owner of Bobby J's Yamaha. Stanley loved to talk, ride, and share this passion for motorcycles with his friends and family.
Stanley was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Johnson. Stanley is survived by his wife, Resa Johnson; father, Robert Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jennifer Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Seana Johnson; grandchildren, Keegan Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Preslie Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Kenlie Johnson, Emmaline Johnson, Ollie Johnson, Leo Johnson, and Everleigh Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Clyde Buckelew; and a motorcycle community that will dearly miss him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 8th, 11:00, a.m., at the Sagebrush Church, 7500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
