Born June 1, 1922 at Pemworthem, Preston Lanes, England passed away January 16, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. She was prededed in death by her mother, E. Constance Milner Galloway; father Herbert George Galloway; and her sister, Eilene M.C. Galloway. She is survived by cousins in Great Britain and New Zealand; many close and wonderful friends and her much-loved pet cats, Pip, Dexter and Shadow. Sonja came to live in the USA in February 1946 and became a citizen in 1955. She worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. for 12 years and for the First National Bank in Albuquerque for 17 A½ years. She was a member of and active in the American Institute of Banking in the 1970's at Local, Distrct and National levels. Sonja was an artist in pen and ink and watercolor and was well-known for her animal and scenic note cards. She was a member of Palo Duro, Bear Canyon and Highland Senior Centers and a volunteer in the art scene. She orginated the "Professional Guest Artist Series" and planned art classes for 4 A½ years.
