Socorro Garcia

Socorro Garcia passed away October 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in 1933 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to father Jose Sanchez and mother Carolina Sanchez.

Socorro was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Nana) and great-grandmother. She was a hard-working and determined woman. She had strong faith and her values led her to be a kind and giving person. She was generous in love and laughter. She was at her best when gathered with family.

Socorro is survived by her daughter, Laurie Maynez and husband Paul. Her daughter-in-law, Nancy Walden. Her 10 grand-children: Chassidy, Christa, Jeromy (Melissa), Steve (Karyn), Sharla, James, Jessie, Joshua (Spencer), Andrea, and Desiree. Her 3 great-grandsons Jeromy Jr., Collin, and Drew. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Socorro is predeceased by her husband, Ramon Garcia, her son, Steve Garcia, and her daughter, Loretta Garcia as well as all her brothers and sisters.

Socorro will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am with a Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am on November 19, 2021 at the Shrine of St. Bernadette located at 11509 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque NM 87112.
