Silvio Dell'Angela (84) beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughters, Lori Jimenez and husband, Easy and Kim Dell'Angela and fiancé, Tom; sister, Dixie Golden; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Luigi and Elisa Dell'Angela; his daughter, Katherine Kuehl; twin brother, Louis; half-brother, Nello; and half-sister, Molly.
Silvio was born on June 8, 1938. He grew up and was educated in Highland Park, NJ where he met and later married Anita Pastrick and had three daughters.
Silvio attended Rutgers University and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force in January of 1961. His assignments took him to France, England, Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from active duty as a Lt. Col. on August 31, 1983 after 22 years of service.
Decorations, medals and campaign ribbons earned during his career include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, three Air Force Outstanding Unit awards, the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service medal with three Bronze Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship ribbon, and the Air Force Longevity Service Award ribbon with four Oak Leaf Clusters.
He will be missed dearly and remembered forever by his family and friends.
Services will be held Monday, October 10, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Silvio's name to the charity of your choice.
