Silveria Lucila Martinez

Silveria Lucila Martinez, age 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 61 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born in Pecos, NM on December 31, 1932. Silveria was the youngest daughter of Celestino and Cleofas Ortiz. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was devoted to her Catholic religion and undying faith in the Lord. Silveria is survived by her children, Barbara Zon and Carl Nard, Eugene T. Martinez and wife, Libby, and Margaret E. Martinez; three grandchildren, Gwen J. Herrera and husband, Gilbert Herrera, Robert J. Martinez, and Jennifer M. Martinez and Miguel Cruz; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Soto and Vincent Cruz; brother, Mariano Ortiz; sister, Priscilla Lopez; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Martinez; son, Robert K. Martinez; grandson, Eugene C. " Buddy" Martinez; and brother, Juan L. Ortiz. Silveria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., St. Anthony's Cemetery in Pecos, NM.
