Sieglinde (Linda) Hildagart Rowton
Sieglinde was born in Bretten, Germany. She died peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the age of 89. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William C. Rowton of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters, Christa Beehler, Heidi Lauer and Traute Philips; children Carmen Ramos, Anita Eakins, Kathy (Kat) Beasley, Marie Ritchy and stepson Richard Rowton; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ramiro B. Ramos, and her sister Doris Murray.
Linda loved the mountains and the beach. She also enjoyed Jazzercise, long walks, and Tai Chi. Her favorite foods were Chinese food and seafood. She enjoyed having her hot latte twice a day. She learned to snorkel when she was in the Caribbean because of all the colorful fish she could see. She also immensely enjoyed traveling, especially on ocean cruises.
She had a "green thumb" and loved her flowers, especially orchids. She could talk to plants that were failing then touch their leaves and they would make a miraculous recovery the next day. She enjoyed bird watching and had a passion for butterflies.
Linda had a mischievous side as well. If Linda couldn't remember a word in English, she would use a German word instead. But sometimes the German word would sound like a vulgar word in English. Some people laughed and some went into shock! She liked to play tricks on her poor unsuspecting husband. Like when she ran him off the track on the Rotobahn in Austria.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
