Shirley W. Wallace

Shirley W. Wallace, age 86, dedicated wife and mother, passed away April 2, 2017. Shirley was a military wife of 60+ years and was a part of the family support group for the U.S. Army throughout her husband's career. She was known for her charitable work throughout her life volunteering at Philmont Scout Ranch for 10 years. Shirley served as a crossing guard at Kirtland Elementary and was a surgical technician at Sun Towers Hospital in El Paso, TX. She was a life member of both Eastern Star and the Law Enforcement Alliance. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for over 14 years and served as an acolyte.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. "Doc" Wallace. She is survived by her children, Larry Wallace, Paul Wallace, Daniel Wallace, Donna Wallace and Mariann Wallace.

Interment will take place Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 9:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
