Shirley Crawley

Shirley Jean Crawley, born May 11, 1925 to Carl and Gladys Nordquist in Denver, CO, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2018.

She grew up in Denver graduating from South High School in 1943.  She worked as an automobile insurance underwriter for several years.  Shirley married Edward T. Crawley in February of 1948.  They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.  They moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1962.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Gladys; and brother, Roger Nordquist.  She is survived by her loving husband, Edward; daughter, Joyce Berg and partner, Fred Gabrielle; her son, Daniel Crawley and wife, Celine; grandchildren, Kristin Berg, Lindsey Berg, Joshua Crawley and fiancé, Clarissa Lopez and Cecilia (CJ) Crawley.  Shirley worked as a bookkeeper in the Poultry Business.  She was the co-owner and office manager of their family business until retirement in 1993.  During retirement, Shirley and Ed enjoyed many wonderful trips.  Shirley was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for 53 years.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the Funeral Service Saturday, September 1, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
