Sherwood Young Jackson Jr

Sherwood Young Jackson, Jr., age 86, passed away peacefully at his home on March 4, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Alice Ann Jackson; daughters, Claudia Russo and husband John, Martha Burns and husband Dennis, and Alice Dillon and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Hayley Burns, Evayn Burns, Carley Osborne and husband Jon, Kyle Dillon, Steven Russo and wife Angie, and Anne Horter and husband Doug; great-grandchildren, Sami Russo, Kalley Russo, Drew Horter, and John Horter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood Y. Jackson Sr. and Jane Jackson and his son, Sherwood Y. Jackson III. Sherwood was a true son of Albuquerque, born and raised. Above all he valued his family, his friends, his country, and God. His contributions to his community are vast and too many to list but Albuquerque has benefited greatly from his efforts. Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the UNM Foundation.
