Shelly Wenk

Shelly Wenk, a lifetime resident of the South Valley passed away on November 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and a good friend by many.

Most folks who aren't family are likely know her from D & S Country Market, a family owned convenience store that served the South Valley for over 30 years.

She probably spend as much time horseback in her life as she did exploring the back roads in the mountains with her husband and sons.

Those occasions were always complimented by classic country music turned all the way up and plenty of good snacks, She knew every George Strait song and had every album he ever release in multiple formats. These simple anecdotes hardly scratched the surface of the complex and intelligent woman that we all knew and loved.

The family invites all who knew and loved her to join us in her celebrations of life, where we can all share your favorite story with those around you while we process our grief and most importantly celebrate Shelly's life.
