Shawn Jose Padilla

Shawn Padilla Sr., 53, of Edgewood, NM, succumbed to Pulmonary Fibrosis at his home surrounded by family on Saturday June 17, 2017.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Patti of 25 years; parents, Marvin and Linda Padilla of Albuquerque, NM; six incredible sons, Jonathan Reid and his wife, Candice of Phillipsburg, MT, Noah Reid and wife, Jessamine of San Antonio, TX, Jacob Valenzuela and wife, Amanda, Justin Reid, Shawn Padilla Jr., and CJ Padilla all of Edgewood, NM; sister, Michelle Padilla; brother, Marvin Padilla Jr. both of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Anita Crow of Tahlequah, OK; sister-in-law, Susan Arnett and husband, Jon of El Paso, TX; brother-in-law, Clayton Blank and wife, Sheila of Corrales, NM; brother-in-law, Joseph Blank of Wellington, OH; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and extended family. Shawn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to all.

Shawn loved boxing, UFC, the Denver Broncos, and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Shawn was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Funeral Service for Shawn will be on Friday, June 23, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Church of Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW Albuquerque. Shawn will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque with a reception to follow at the Church of Ascension reception hall.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Jonathan, Noah, Jacob, Justin, Shawn Jr., and CJ.
