Sharon Klafke

Sharon Eraine Klafke passed away on October 26, 2018 at the age of 69.

She was born in Clovis, NM the daughter of Bobby and Gerda Poling.  She is survived by her husband, John Klafke and grandson, Triston; sisters, Penny Bliss and family of San Antonio, Texas, Tuuri Sanders and family of El Paso, Texas, Betty Gikas and family of Roswell, New Mexico; step-sister, Coe and Greg Gardner of Carefree, Arizona.

She graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico enrolled in the electrical engineering program.  She received honors for academic achievements and high performance awards through out her professional career.  She retired from the U.S. Department of Energy after thirty years federal service.

She was a very compassionate, loving, and forgiving person.  We would like to thank the nurses and staff of North Ridge Alzheimer’s Special care center for Sharon’s personal care and Alliance Hospice care.  Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of New Mexico.
