Sharon "Ellie" Cooper

July 15, 1946 — September 15, 2022

Sharon "Ellie" Cooper, age 76, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on Thursday, September 15, 2022. She entered this world on July 15, 1946, in Lawton, OK, born to Charlie Kelly and Anna Elizabeth Gray. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Cooper and David Cooper; and her daughter, Brittini Luna and boyfriend, Craig Jackson; and grand-daughters, Justine Luna and boyfriend, Julian Romero; and Brianna Amestoy, and husband, Adam Amestoy.

She lived on 220-acre Farm/Ranch with her grandfather and grandmother, her mom, and brother, Doug, as well as three cousins (whom all consider each other as siblings) They lived in town. Because Ellie was the oldest by 15 days, and it was her home, she would say, what others could and could not do. Most of the time she kept everyone out of trouble.

As babies, their mothers (her mother and aunt) would put her and "Kat" both in a play pen, they Called "the bull pen". It got that name from the time their brothers were little: seems they would stay in it, as long as it was not called a baby play pen.

Ellie had the most beautiful, curly strawberry blonde hair that was so fascinating, said her cousin, Kat. Once in great temptation, Kat grabbed a fist full of hair, and she cried.

Kat also remembers, One Sunday, after playing hard outside after morning Church service, we came back to evening service. I was so tired! I laid down on the bench, telling myself that I was still a kid, and I could sleep in Church. I was woken by Ellie running past me and going to the alter. Soon after that, the service was over, Ellie was the newest member of the church, and I was headed to Hell. Church was ending, and I was terrified that I was the only one in my family going to HELL. Since then, The Almighty God delivered me from all fear, when HE assured me that HE would never leave me or forsake me. I hope to see my dear cousin one day soon!
