Scott C. Henderson

October 15, 1965 — August 1, 2019

Scott Henderson, age 53, beloved husband and father, was brought home to our Lord Jesus Christ, on August 1, 2019, after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was born on October 15, 1965, in Santa Monica, CA. Scott is survived by his wife, Angel Henderson; sons, Dylan and Drew Henderson; mother and stepfather, Leanne and Wendell Weart; stepmother, Cindy Henderson; brother, Randy Henderson; and sister, Heather Briggs. He was preceded in death, by his father, Robert Henderson.

Scott spent his adult years, working in the local tire industry. He was known for his undeterred passion for fast cars and airplanes. He invested many years, modifying his beloved 1980 Trans-Am. He enjoyed building and flying remote control aircraft, often going to Maloof Memorial Air Park to join other avid pilots. He had a profound love for the ocean and was blessed to complete a bucket list trip to Hawaii with his wife, Angel, in February 2019.

In April 2018, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. It was his strong faith that helped him fight through his illness and recognize that his life had a greater purpose. He often shared his faith boldly with oncology nurses, bringing smiles and joy to their faces. We are blessed and grateful that he is now with Jesus for eternity and no longer suffering.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at New Covenant Church at 7201 Paseo del Norte NE.
