Scott Thomas

October 31, 1960 — December 20, 2024

Scott Bruce Thomas, 64, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother, and friend. He is survived by his mother, Goldie Faye Thomas; wife, Gina Prieskorn-Thomas; his children: Jeremy Thomas, Tearsa Packard, Theresa Thomas, Tina Thomas, Zachary Thomas; his 13 wonderful grandchildren; and his siblings: James, Brenda, Dana, and Amye. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family whom he loved very much.

Scott was born October 31, 1960, in Hobbs, New Mexico, the son of James Harlan Thomas and Goldie Faye Bruce. Scott felt closest to God when he was outdoors and was always eager to share his knowledge with those who came after him. He especially loved many thrill-seeking activities which included hunting, fishing, racing, silversmithing, car restoration, hot rod building, and anything else he could learn throughout his lifetime. Scott's life was defined by his unwavering devotion to his family and steadfast commitment to his community. He was a proud owner of the Duke City Gladiators and their community service outlet "Community Champions." He immensely impacted anyone who had the honor of meeting him.

Preceding Scott in death are his father, James Thomas; his daughter, Jessica Brown; his brother, Cary Thomas; his nephew Dominic Gomez; his best friend, Don Dugger; as well as several other family members, friends, and loved ones.

Pallbearers for services include Jeremy Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Adam Thomas, Billy Seelbach, Robert Houge, and Manuel Leyva. We would also like to acknowledge honorary pallbearers Edward Meyers and Mike Swick.
