Sarah Jane Shipman

Age 69, a life-long resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014. She is survived by son, Randy (Anita) Shipman of Chandler, AZ; son, Russell Shipman of Odessa, TX; son, Jimmy Lee (Stephanie) Shipman of Aurora, CO and daughter, Marlene Bruce of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Tyler Shipman, Travis Bruce, Aaron Shipman, and Newton Maddox; granddaughters, Melinda Zamora, Nicole Bruce, and Ashley Shipman; two great-grandchildren, Celeste and Kaily Zamora; sister, Kathryn Abeyta and brother, Leo Vigil; father-in-law, Herman Harper and numerous other family and friends. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Marlan Shipman and her parents, Frank and Leila Mae Vigil. Sarah was born and raised in Tucumcari, NM. She and her husband owned and operated KT Jewelers for 25 years. She loved animals and crafts. Sarah was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Shipman, Russell Shipman, Jimmy Lee Shipman, Travis Bruce, Aaron Shipman and Tyler Shipman. Friends may visit Friday, January 3, 2014, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
