Sara Wilson

Sara Wilson, age 92, passed away March 21, 2017 in Albuquerque. She was born June 19, 1924 in Roswell, NM to Byron and Sallie Wilson. She graduated from UNM and had a long academic career in Santa Fe, NM and Livermore, CA. While in California, she was active in the Alameda County Cowbelles in which she enjoyed riding her horse in local parades. After retiring, she returned to Albuquerque to be near family. She enjoyed competing in the senior Olympics in swimming. Sara was a member of the Hope Evangelical Church in Albuquerque. She was a long time resident of La Vida Llena. Sara was predeceased by her brother, Wallace Wilson and sisters, Ruth Gaines Strittmatter and Lucile Caton. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
