With saddened hearts, a beautiful angel on earth, Sara Saiz was called home by our heavenly Father on March 10, 2025. Sara was 37, born on February 15, 1988, in Albuquerque, NM to her mother, Jeanette Saiz, and father, Fidel Saiz Jr.
Sara was known to be the social butterfly and also a drama queen (DQ) for short. She graduated from Oconomowoc, WI in 2007. She mostly attended Cibola High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader rooting her brother on. Sara succeeded in everything she did and did it with passion. She cherished the many friendships she had along with her big family whom she loved very much. She was the one who was always somewhere with someone, Sara loved being an auntie. She was known as the fun auntie. She would glow anytime she was near her niece and nephews. Sara was very active and traveled the world through Europe and Spain, Sara loved being outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, snowboarding, and skydiving. She was employed with New Mexico Mutual where she worked in account management. She loved her job and she excelled. Sara was very well-liked and respected by her co-workers.
Sara is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jeanette Saiz and Fidel Saiz; grandparents, Fidel Saiz Sr., Simon Gallegos, Frances Gallegos, and Dora Saiz; uncles, Johnny Saiz, Sailo Saiz, Lenny Gallegos; cousins, Christopher Saiz, Nathaniel Saiz, Logan Gallegos, Shyann Gallegos; and brother, Perfecto Saiz.
Sara is survived by her brother, Johnny Saiz, and sister, Samantha Saiz; nephews, Johnny Saiz Jr., Bryent Bonsall, Anthony Saiz, Carlos Sisneros Jr., and Niece Jeanette (Jenny Belle) Saiz.
Sara will forever be remembered for her positivity and kindness. Always carrying around a smile and lifting everyone up. Always willing to help anyone who was in need. We love you more, Sara. You were very loved and will be deeply missed until we meet again!
A Rosary will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 9:30 am at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 followed by a Mass at 10:15 am.
A graveside service will follow at noon at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gionni Valdez, Simon Hampton, Johnny Saiz, Ryan Kennedy, Chris Holquist, Bryson Duffy, Aleq Chavez, and Jose Martinez.
