STAGNONE, SANDRA DREBING The angels took our beloved Sandy to heaven on October 1, 2014. Sandy was born in Albuquerque, NM, November 8, 1960, and was a graduate of St. Pius High School and the University of New Mexico with a B.S. in Nursing. She touched many lives with a kind and generous heart. Surviving are her parents, George and Carmen Drebing; brothers, Mark (Stephanie) and John (Traci); nieces Taylor Noya, Danielle Drebing; and nephews Tyler, Connor, Graham, and Nolan Drebing; many relatives and friends in Albuquerque and Dallas; and her Siberian Husky companions, Cierra and Kachina. Our precious Sandy was a gifted artist who won awards in her teens with landscape paintings using oils and acrylics. After graduation, she cared for patients in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at UNM Hospital, followed by a number of years nursing at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and later in plastic surgery. More recently, she owned and managed a pet boarding and grooming business and designed amazing pieces of fine jewelry as a hobby for gift giving. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum by Msgr. Bennett J. Voorhies of Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish on October 8, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the ASPCA humane society.
