On the evening of June 8, 2022, Sandra Kay White, age 69, a long-time resident of Albuquerque was returned into loving arms of her creator. She is survived by her spouse James J. White of Albuquerque. Her son Eli McHugh of Okanogan, Washington, daughter Samantha McHugh - Borrayo of Apache Junction, Arizona; grandchildren, Abraham Borrayo of Ventura California, Lexi Borrayo USMC San Diego, Ethan McHugh, Dylan Mc Hugh, William McHugh and Billie-John McHugh of Brewster, Washington. She is also survived by sister, Debbie Springer-Herrera of Sacramento, California, brother, Timothy Springer of Madera, California, David Springer of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and was preceded in death by her son, Erik Neil White in 1993 and parents, David, and Cleo Springer in 2000 and 1995.

Let it be known that Sandra having come from humble beginnings in Eureka, California rose to achieve many heralded accomplishments in her life such as: an LPN Nursing Degree from Napa Valley Community College in 1988, associate degree from Gonzaga University in 1995 in Spokane, Washington, Bachelor of Arts from University of New Mexico in 2004, followed by a master’s degree in Medical Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2008. She was incredibly gifted in all aspects of artistic endeavors such as playwriting, photography, painting, drawings, ancestral research, in woodworking (1994) she won the U. S. Air Force world -wide arts & crafts competition by constructing an 18 ft. wood strip canoe.

Her character can best be described in many ways such as: selfless, loving, funny, brilliantly creative, and hardworking with relentless determination. Her being was truly an inspiration to all that knew her. Unfortunately, within the last few years of her life, she suffered from multiple lengthy illnesses that contributed to her passing.

Her wishes were for cremation, to be preceded by a private viewing and ultimately to be followed by inurnment at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery on Yale Blvd. in Albuquerque. All funeral arrangements are being conducted through French Funerals & Cremations. Inurnment will be determined at a later date.

Special thanks need to go to the following institutions and personnel for their compassionate and heartfelt contributions in providing the much-needed support for her surviving family members.

Those being: The Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center (Emergency Department) & the medical staff on SD.

The staff at Manzano Del Sol Specialized Nursing Facility along with namely Maria Nieto & Heather Hallberg.
