Sandra Dorine (Galloway) Garcia, 81, of Albuquerque, passed in her home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Springer, NM, daughter of Louise and Bob Galloway. At 6 weeks old, she and her parents moved to Albuquerque's north valley. She and her two sisters, Shirley Reiger and Peggy Wheeler, grew up in a home built by her dad. Sandra married her loving husband F. Chris Garcia in 1967. She graduated from UNM with a double major in English and History with honors. After college, she was a brilliant technical editor for academic journals. Later she worked at Zia Research Associates, Inc., an opinion survey research company where she was the accountant and manager. She was involved in activities at Central United Methodist Church of Albuquerque. Sandra's main love was her family. She was a great mother to her two daughters, Elaine Krueger Langlois and Tanya Garcia-Nolen. She also enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons, Austin and Avery Krueger. She loved gardening, crafts, sewing, cooking, being in the outdoors and going on family vacations. Sandra was a kind, sweet, beautiful soul. She was fulfilled by, and thrived on, caring for others throughout her life. She was shy and reserved, but had strong opinions of virtue and Christian values. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and joking with friends and family. Anyone who met her immediately realized her kind, selfless and generous soul.
She will be greatly missed here, but is now in comfort and at peace in heaven.
