FERRALES-CHAVEZ, SANDRA EVA The sun has set on a beautiful flower that lived underneath a turquoise blue sky. Sandra went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 5, 2013. Born in 1980, she is survived by her children Joseph Ronquillo, Jerry Chavez, Jr., and Isaiah Chavez; parents Maria and Ramon Ferrales; brothers Jose Alvarez, Waldo Duran, and Michael Ferrales; aunt Emma Sanchez and cousins Sylvia Dean, Frank Sanchez, and Yolanda Sanchez-Alley and husband Peter Alley, Nannette Thompson, and Amanda Marquez; and friend Amy Chavez. She is also survived by so many special family members and friends too numerous to mention here. Sandra Chavez was a remarkable woman, a woman after God's own heart. Her church home was a very important part of her walk with God. She was a faithful volunteer, she started in the children's ministry approximately 5 ½ years ago, and then became an usher and soon became a leader in her church. She was a prayer warrior, with a grateful heart. She would rejoice when she would witness someone receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior for the first time. She was a wonderful mother, who loved her boys with her whole heart. They were her most cherished treasure. Sandra was the most selfless person we've ever known. Her smile would light up a room. She always saw the best in people and knew how to make anyone feel so important and special. Her spirit could NOT be broken, nor her faith be shaken. She will be deeply and genuinely missed. So until we see you again, run into your Saviors arms. You are finally FREE baby girl. We love you. A celebration of Sandra's life will be held Monday, October 14, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Legacy Church, 7201 Central Ave. NW.
