Samuel Jaramillo, 86, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on September 16, 2018. He entered this world on December 22, 1931 in Albuquerque, N.M., born to Demetrio and Lucy Jaramillo. Sam retired in 1994 after more than thirty years as a meat cutter with Safeway and Furr's Supermarkets. After retirement Sam enjoyed traveling with his wife of 67 years, Clara, especially to Las Vegas to play his beloved poker. He also loved attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events. He is survived by his wife, Clara Jaramillo; brother, Ernest; sisters, Emma, Dolores, and Rosalie; sons, Mike (Ann) Jaramillo, Sam (Becki) Jaramillo, Ed (Norma) Jaramillo, Steve (Doreen) Jaramillo; daughters, Patti (Phil) Montoya and Kathi Jaramillo; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason Jaramillo, Chris Montoya, Eddie Jaramillo, Adam Jaramillo, Matthew Jaramillo, and Kevin Jaramillo. A Rosary will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, 9:30 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 5311 Phoenix Ave N.E. 87110. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Sam's family would like to thank his caregivers at Legacy Hospice and Right at Home.
