Sammy D. Guess

Sammy D. Guess passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque on November 25, 2013. He was born in Oklahoma on January 29, 1934. He is survived by his wife, Denise of Albuquerque; son, Robin of Utah; granddaughter, Sidney of Idaho Falls; sister, Sylvia Thompson of Ardmore, OK; and nieces and nephews. After graduating from high school in Oklahoma, Sammy joined the Air Force where he spent his 27-year career in various stations in Europe, Vietnam, and the United States. He then retired from the Albuquerque Journal after 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Mary.
