Sam Miners, age 56, passed away suddenly on August 8, 2015. Sam was known for his free spirit, artistic expression, and straight forward nature. His cause fighting strength and focus always shined brightly. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Miners; brother, Patrick Miners and nephew, Ian Miners; cousin, Cory Kaveny; aunt, Linda Kaveny; sister-in-law, Julia Garratt and her husband, Michael; his mother-in-law, Judith Mead; his step-son, Steve White; his father-in-law, Duane Wagner and his wife, Tabitha; as well as many friends. Sam graduated from New Mexico State University and worked as a highly effective substance abuse counselor for three decades. He was active in celebrating Native American Tribal Clans and worked against the desperation in New Mexico's society. He will be missed greatly. Services will be scheduled at a separate date.
