Sam J. Boren

Sam J. Boren, age 81, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023. He is survived by a loving family, his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; son, Sam C. Boren and his wife, Susan; daughter, Stacy Mitchell and husband, Miles; grandchildren, Christopher Boren and wife, Victoria, Cassie Boren, Chance, and Ty Mitchell. Sam was born on October 28, 1941, to Sam and Emily Boren in Albuquerque, NM.

He went to New Mexico Military Institute and the University of New Mexico.
He married Dorothy in 1964 and went to work for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. In 1995 he went into business with his Dad, and they began to expand their business. He enjoyed the nature and challenge of the retail business selling Goodyear Tires, Auto Service, and General Electric Appliances for 37 years. Sam was respected for his honesty and integrity and was very active in his community, being chairman of the Better Business Bureau, a member of Executives Association of Greater Albuquerque, a Mason and Shrine and in his retirement a member of Old Coots on Scoots, riding his Harley as much as possible. He would say his greatest accomplishment was raising kids that are an asset to society and they made him so proud. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m., FRENCH - Wyoming.
