Salvador "Sal" Duran Sr

Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, November 18, 2013. He is survived by his children, Patricia Duran, Salvador Duran, Jr. and wife, Laura, Elizabeth "Betty" Duran-Lippman and husband, Mark, Rick Duran and wife, Kathy, and Peter Duran and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Amanda Duran, Jude Duran and wife, Lisa, Aaron Duran and wife, Victoria, Briana Duran-Lippman, Marky Duran-Lippman, and Joshuah Duran; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Duran was preceded in death by his parents, Timoteo and Juanita Duran and his wife, Mary M. Duran. Sal worked for and retired from the Santa Fe Rail Road and the City of Albuquerque. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, November 21, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Santuario de San Martin, 8321 Camino de San Martin, with Ramona Quintana reciting. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Monsignor Richard Olona, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Sal's family wishes to extend an expression of gratitude to all the staff at St. Catherine Nursing Home and the many well-wishers that were always by his side.
