Salomon J Hernandez, 83, beloved brother and friend to many passed away peacefully at his home on September 27, 2022.
A long time resident of Albuquerque he was the second child of ten born to Max and Virgina Hernandez of Old Town in Albuquerque.
An Advertising Service Manager with the Albuquerque Publishing Company he retired in December of 2008 after 52 proud years of service.
He was often seen riding his bike through the neighborhoods of Old Town and Downtown, something he very much enjoyed until the last couple of years of his life. He was the friendly guy who would talk to all his neighbors and even strangers that would walk by his house.
His funny way of "accidentally" breaking things was an ongoing joke with the family and will always be remembered with a smile.
His generous spirit and caring nature will be missed.
He is survived by the following sisters and brothers and their spouses, Theresa Ramirez (Larry), Michael Hernandez (Anna), Ross Hernandez (Deborah), Martin Hernandez,, Cathy Mirabal (Mike), Andrew Hernandez (Michael), and Honorary brother Filo (famous) Martinez.
He is also survived by many loving and caring nieces and nephews who were there to help him in many ways.
Special thanks to brother-in-law and longtime friend Larry, who was there for him from the beginning to the end of his illness.
And thanks to April and the caring staff of Presbyterian Hospice for all their service and very helpful advice during this difficult time in his life.
Salomon was preceded in death by his brothers Arthur Hernandez, Albert Hernandez, Dan Hernandez and his parents Virginia and Max Hernandez
