Welter, Sally, 88, a resident of Albuquerque for 29 years passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Sally was a generous, kind, and fun-loving individual. Born Saturday, October 8, 1932 in Cedar Grove, NJ to John Rideg and Jane Timko. A loving wife to her husband of 42 years, William “Willie” Welter. Sally grew up in Connecticut, graduating from Bassick HS then joined the U.S. Marine Corp. After that she worked at Dictaphone where she met her husband Willie Welter. They married in 1965. Sally was a career Executive Assistant for over 30 years working at Avco and Stauffer Chemicals. In her younger years, Sally was an avid Duck Pin Bowler, winning many trophies over the years. She enjoyed ice skating and summer beach times with her niece and nephews. Sally was an active member for over 25 years at the Los Volcanes Senior Center and volunteered in her community regularly particularly at Albuquerque Little Theater. Sally is survived by a sister, Joan Balamaci; nephew, Glen Balamaci; nephews, Lewis Welter, Warren Welter; a niece, Wendy Welter Dever; and cousin, John Fodor. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and parents. A Private Memorial Service and burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
