Saith M. Budagher

BUDAGHER, SAITH M. Age 92, a resident of Rio Rancho, died Monday, November 11, 2013. This 92 year old World War II Veteran awoke this morning, showered, dressed in his Sunday best and went to the kitchen to have his morning coffee. As his coffee cup was being filled he said "that's good... that's good" and as the coffee pot was being put back in its place our beloved hero, dad, grandpa, great grandpa went to heaven to be with his loving wife, Polly. Saith Budagher was born and grew up in Domingo on October 5, 1921. He still has the spirit of the Santo Domingo Indian flowing in his soul. He went to school at Pena Blanca and he was a World War II vet specializing in communications while stationed in India. Saith met his beloved wife Polly at a dance in Belen, NM in 1948. They were married 58 years until her passing in 2006. His life experiences are a treasured novel. He served his country with honor. His character and wit touched the lives of many people. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love was unconditional and he was generous to a fault. Saith was a "Jack of all Trades and a Master of Many". He moved his young family from Albuquerque to Budagher's where he started his gas station business. He built his family home at Budagher's. He raised cattle... buying, selling and trading. He cut, hauled and sold fire wood. He was a craftsman in making silver and turquoise jewelry. Saith had a passion for gardening and he grew some of the best green chile in NM. Saith Budagher is survived by his children, Ron and Rose Budagher, Sallie and Allan Tow, Marlene and Chuck Maloy, Cathie and Dick Rochester, Saith Jr. and Louise Budagher, Pete and Sabine Budagher and Joseph and Barbara Budagher; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. We will miss your stories, laughter, wisdom and guidance but most of all we will miss your never ending love. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 17, 2013, 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH-Westside. A celebration of Si's life will be held Monday, November 18, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, followed by a committal service at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, P.O.
