Sadie Marcella (Benson) Gillings

Sadie Gillings was born in January of 1931, in Minnesota, to Alert and Josephine Benson. She went to nursing school in Willmar, MN and to North Central Bible College where she met her handsome husband, Dean, when he drove the Gospel Quartet that she sung in from church to church. Sadie loved nursing. She began her nursing career in the Granite Falls area, later she worked in Forest Lake, Staples and Wadena. She worked at Tri-County Hospital for many of those years. She was a Sunday school teacher and was involved in church at the Wadena Assemblies of God church for many years. She loved her family and friends.

Sadie passed away at the age of 88 years on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Dan (Karen) Gillings; daughter, Sonja (Ruben) Montoya; grandchildren, Brittany (Lee) Starritt, Nathanial (Roberta), Chad and Ryan; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
